Clayton Edwards is a West Texas bred electric/upright bassist who is currently based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Throughout his carrier he has sought out private instruction from industry professionals such as Ed Friedland (The Mavericks & Bass Player Magazine), Joshua Zarbo (Spoon), Aden Bubeck (Miranda Lambert) and Mat Maxwell (Luke Combs). He enjoys passing this knowledge to others by mentoring up and coming bassists.

A self described “pocket player” he is as comfortable on a festival stage as he is during a worship service. Clayton is known for his strong stage presence, playing FOR the song, and being able to adapt to any genre or situation.  In the studio Clayton incorporates the same work ethic, team player and “the song comes first” attitude that he does on stage.

Currently on tour with Texas Country Artist Mike Ryan, Clayton has opened for such acts as Koe Wetzel, Miranda Lambert, Riley Green, Parker McCollum, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and many more.  Throughout his 25+ year career he has played many stages including CMAFest, Billy Bobs and AT&T Stadium.
